3 Wonderful Years!!!

I can truly say that I did not know if we would ever make it this far. If you have not heard the story of how Jeremy and I have met well, here you go: Jeremy and I met our freshman year at Oklahoma Christian, We actually met before school had even started. It was the end of orientation and Earn Your Wings was about to start. The orientation group went to see a baseball game. My roommate Amanda Arnold (Lytton) and I decided to go. We were sitting with some new friends when I saw Jamie Graham and wanted to go say hi. There was no room to sit down and I was in a short skirt ( i know imagine that me in a short skirt). This lovely young man decided to offer me his seat, so of course I accepted. I remember thinking wow, not only is he chivalrous but hes kind of hott. Well, that young man just happened to be Jeremy Stevens and boy I did not know what I was getting into. We talked for a while and later that night when I got back to my dorm room there was a note on a small piece of paper that have Jeremy's name and his cell 919-3038 (I will never forget his number from then). I was so excited and could not believe I had only been at school for about an hour and already met a prospective husband.....just kidding I didn't think that well, maybe.

The next four years were filled with some amazing dates to Whataburger, drives around Edmond and even some fun moments by the pond (so long white mini skirt). There were also many tears that were shed and weight that was lost, but I can honestly say that is was all worth it. I love our relationship and everything it took to get where we are today. Almost seven years ago Jeremy swept me away at a ball game and three years ago he swept me away again by making me his wife. I love you and thank God every day for you!

Boy or Girl?????

In about 42 hours Jeremy and I will know if we are having a boy or girl. I absolutely can not wait. I have kind of felt all along that we will be having a boy. I don't really have any reason why I think that but when I think about the baby I in vision a little boy. Jeremy on the other hand thinks we are having a girl. So, Jeremy and I both being pretty competitive people put it to a bet. We have been decorating our house and the one item that we can not compromise on is the couch. Jeremy wants leather and I want cloth. Jeremy decided that who ever guessed what the baby was could pick the couch. He is so going to lose!

Nesting!!!

It is so true that when you are pregnant you tend to get into a nesting mode. This week I have painted my bathroom, and completely decorated it. I have cleaned out the garage, two closets, and nursery room. I am determined to have this house ready before the baby gets her. While Jeremy's idea of nesting is completely different then mine. His idea was to buy my a new bigger car. I can't complain I do love my new bright red car, even though I have already backed into the neighbors car.....oh well, its broken in. I am finally getting to enjoy my pregnancy. The past couple of months I have not felt too well, but I am feeling wonderful now and ready to conquer all the task ahead of me. I will post pics of all my projects!!!!

My Husband has multiple personalities!!!

Now, I know this sounds crazy but it is really true. Most people know Jeremy Stevens as a serious, no nonsense kind of guy. Well, being married to him for the past three years I can tell you that's not all there is to Jeremy Benjamin Stevens. About two and a half years ago Jeremy and I moved to North Carolina for his job and we decided to get a puppy. Well, I decided I wanted a puppy and started buying dog clothes and toys in advance. Jeremy doesn't like wasting money, so I knew he would eventually give in and let me have my puppy. We welcomed our Valentine baby Sadie Mae. She is a West Highland White Terrier and my pride and joy. I love her more then anything and could not imagine my life without her. When we got Sadie Mae I expected dealing with pee and poop, getting up in the middle of the night, but one thing I did not expect was my dear ol' husbands obsession with talking for our lil pooch. Jeremy has not only given Sadie a voice she now has her very own personality and like her daddy she is full of herself.
Jeremy will seriously carry on entire conversations with Sadie and me. He uses a high pitched voice and calls me maaaawwwmaaaa. The sad part is I have given in and play along. What can I say when you move half way across the country and have no friends you make your own!!! More to come from Sadie Mae.

Blog....Why Not!

OK, so I have been meaning to blog for a long time but just have not found the energy too. I guess to start my blog I will give an update about the amazing things that have happened in the past year. Jeremy and I moved to Keller, TX 13 months ago and we love it here. Jeremy is working as a pharmaceutical rep for Novartis. He loves his job and continues to suceed at it. I am very pround of him. On the other hand I am still working retail at White House Black Market. The women I work with our wonderful and truely a blessing in my life. Summer 08 was quite an exciting one for us. I was lucky enough to go to South Africa ( a trip of a life time) and Jeremy and I went to Maui. Both trips were a wonderful experience for me and can not wait to go back. While I was traveling our first house was being built. We moved into my dream home in September of 08. The next few months consisted of getting to know the area and decorating the new home (I am still working on that).

The holidays were wonderful but came and went too fast. For christmas I decided to give Jeremy a romantic getaway to Branson. I know Branson is not really a world-renowned romantic hot-spot but, my wonderful redneck husband just loves Branson. Now, I could go on and on about our Branson trip but I am just going to say this, ''I will never be visiting Branson again.'' Sorry Babe!

About a week after getting back from our wonderful romantic getaway I felt a little different. I just chalked it up to being tried and the fact i consumed everything fried known to man in the redneck capital of the world. Jeremy on the other hand swore up and down that I was pregnant. Noooo way. I could not be pregnant that fast. Jeremy and I had decided to start trying but by no means did I think I would get pregnant the first month. Shows you how much I know. Jeremy seemed way to proud of himself and I on the other hand was just in shock. After the shock set in we both are extremely happy.

The first four months were hard for me especially since I was working on my feet full time. I have since gone part time at work and love it. I feel like I have a life now. I am now 19 weeks and in a week we will find out what we are having. I think its a boy, but who knows. I can not wait to find out and start shopping!!!! We are totally in that nesting phase. I am working vigorously to finish the house before we start the baby room. Jeremy bought me a new car. Its a bright red Jeep Comander. Its awesome, but it's big.

Well, that is whats going on with us.... I will post later with some amusing stories of our life and I am sure its about to get more interesting. Love Britt
